Activity 2.2 1- My Daily Water Use
My average water usage in gallons in the past 3 months:
7,690 June, 7,586 July, 7,523 August
7,690 + 7,586 + 7,523= 22,799 Gallons in total
This would be how much it'd be divided by the number of people in my household (6):
22,799 / 6= 3,799 Gallons
This is how much the number would be divided by the per person per month:
3,799 / 30= 126 Gallons
Calculators I used:
"Water Usage Calculator"
https://waterusage.hunterwater.com.au/results
Per person per day: 253 Gallons
Water used per year: 495,000 Gallons
"Water Calculator"
https://www.watercalculator.org/wfc2/complete/
Per person per day: 272 Gallons
Water used per year: 595,680
With the information stated above it shows the difference between 2 water calculators used by me and the information that was stated. On the first calculator it shows the amount of gallons used per person per day which was 253 gallons and when added to a year it adds up to 495,000 and reason why is because it adds up the amount of household and how much everything is used and how long. I think this is an interesting observation because in the information I gave above about the amount of gallons used they're almost the same number which when calculated it gives 241 gallons, but when calculating it using the "Water Usage Calculator" it shows up as 253 gallons. And even though they revolve around the same range it's good to state that the even though they showed up with different numbers there's always a possibility that it'll match that number. Now going to the second water calculator it shows about the same response with giving the result of 272 gallons. Considering that based on my real used amount of gallons (241), even though it shows about 30 more gallons it shows a higher percentage of gallons used in this specific calculator and it shows that it's higher than all the other calculations that are made. And so based off this observation I'd say that it doesn't imply a good reasoning based off the survey given considering that they were the same questions given as the "Water Calculator". So over everything that was stated in general all 3 calculations show about the same responses and are within the same range of gallons used, obviously those numbers should be reduced considering that they are above the average gallon used per person per day. And that is something I'm willing to look more into.
