Cryosphere

Problem:
The three pictures taken above were all taken at the same place located in Alaska in the Kenai Peninsula. And the first two pictures above were taken 95 years apart in the same place, and even though the third one seems different it's in the same place just from a closer point of view in a much closer perspective. Taking a look at the pictures it's obvious to mention that the snow and glaciers taken in place have perished which is called "glacier receding", and what that means is that the glacier is slowly decreasing being flown into the ocean. Looking at the differences based off the reading of "Hydrosphere/Cryosphere"  it states that when things like that happen it can cause problems regarding the food chain. Reasons why is because based off the reading the causation of glaciers melting are rising air and ocean temperatures, and when that happens it causes the ice to flow into the ocean. Now when flowing into the ocean the melting ice creates under-glacier freshwater rivers. And because of that what happens is that it impedes phytoplankton -rich sea water circulation which then can interrupt the impact given to local ecosystems and interrupt the marine food chain.

Explanation:
Moreover, there are many reasons why this happens beginning with the melt down of the glaciers. When going back the pictures you can see that the picture taken in 1909 there's glaciers and snow on the mountains which shows that it was clearly a different time from which we are in today. However, looking at the picture taken in 2014 it shows that it's all melted away and the snow from the mountains is also nearly gone.  Reasons why is because of most greenhouse gases used in throughout time shows that they've effected the ecosystems. A way to look at it is that looking at 1909 it was a time where obviously the industrial revolution occurred which we could say began the time of things melting. And now in todays date with industries increasing and having Alaska seen as one of the states that produces good amount of oil in the United States it's a good argument to explain why the two pictures show a tremendous amount of differences. So overall, based off the third picture included it shows that it is a closer view also shows the amount of affect that it has caused because looking at it all you really see is water until the very back a glacier, but with that said there are reasons why those pictures look happen and how those changes not only can affect us, but as well as the marine life ecosystems and food chains.
