Activity 3.2.3- Alternative Energy - Solar Energy
When talking about alternative energy firs things we thing we think about is renewable energies like solar energy and other stuff involving like wind mills and other renewable energies that help us save more of the planets natural resources such as fossil fuels and coal.
In this blog I'll be referring to how to use alternative energies more specifically solar energy. Regarding solar energy there are many advantages and many disadvantages to using this certain type of energy. Using solar energy helps in a lot of cases that are beneficial to people especially when it comes to their economy. Using solar energy comes with the advantage of having your light bill reduced and it also comes with a low maintenance cost. Moreover, what makes it beneficial for guest as well is that it's an advancement in technology and so it helps regard to see how much light you use up and how much you save on money considering the paying difference between CPS and paying for solar panels. Overall, for some customers they don't really care about the pay it's more about how they care about our natural resources. For example, the solar panels are an example of solar energy and the way those benefit us is that that they feed off the energy of the sun allowing us to conceive that energy and be able to use that energy conceived. So with that said as long as the sun is accessible having solar panels you'll never run out of energy.
However with everything that helps us, it can also affect us in how we can manage those resources. When wanting to get solar panels yes it saves you money when paying the light bill, but the catch would be on installing them because doing that is expensive. Furthermore, many people struggle with wanting solar panels because they don't have the money. Another reason of why this could have a disadvantage is because of the weather condition that in which you live in. For example, living in a place like Alaska would somewhat benefit you the cause of having solar energy. More or less considering that they have months of sunlight and then months of no sunlight could probably be beneficial for them to use those solar energies and save all that energy conceived from the sunlight. However with bringing my point from there it tells you that once again solar energy only works when regarding the sunlight being on them, but without sunlight the solar panels are useless. And so the point of that example is that when living in an environment that doesn't have as much sunlight it's not always beneficial having solar panels.
Overall, regarding the pros and cons of having solar energy by reducing the waste of fossil fuels and coal there are still certain limits that the solar energy can take. Furthermore, it's more of what it has to do with the weather it's placed in whether it's a place with clouds that covers a lot of sunlight or a place where it rains a lot and there isn't as much sunlight as there could. And so with that stated it's clear to say that one of it's huge limits is weather and it's always depending on where it is and how much sunlight is stored and collected.
After all the information stated above about the pros and cons of the solar energy it shows how no matter how beneficial it can be regarding money and saving energy there can always be, there is always going to be a small hiccup that will affect a huge part of the process that will limit it's full potential.
