Activity 3.2.1- Natural Resources Review

Image
I believe the way we connect to this diagram shown above is mostly by how it affects us. Many of these things affect us in how we live. Most of the time things that are in this list are things that we're able to recycle and re-use and obviously some of these things take longer to re-use and be re-made than others.   If we're taking the things shown in how things are re-useable then regarding bottles and items that are made of aluminum are great examples of things that are beneficial to us and other people that live off recycling. As well as other items that are seemed to be known as reusable items such as solar panel systems are very good for all us considering that not only they are beneficial for the economy but the also re-use energy and help us save energy. and when regarding situations like re-usable items you also have to keep in common the things that aren't and how they still effect the way we live even if we're saving money and or saving energy. Reason I sa...

Activity 2.3-Biosphere and Interconnections

Diagram #1  Diagram #2 Diagram #3 In the diagrams shown above are examples of three different types of energies. And those energies are the energies of Thermodynamics, Energies regarding Autotrophs and such, and the last one would be regarding energy that is related to showing the food chain. Ways all of these are related is that they all grow through a process of energy being transferred from one component to another. All of them either transfer by energy being released into the other object or by the component dying and having to feed other components following the process. Other energies involved in these diagrams show that the way these energies transfer and combine is when they're released and they combine and create some sort of energy. One good example to explain that would be when people are sweating in the same room and when the energy is released it makes a heat energy and that kind of energy is known as thermodynamic. Another example for other one of the energies ...

Activity 2.2 1- My Daily Water Use

My average water usage in gallons in the past 3 months:  7,690 June, 7,586 July, 7,523 August  7,690 + 7,586 + 7,523= 22,799 Gallons in total  This would be how much it'd be divided by the number of people in my household (6): 22,799 / 6= 3,799 Gallons This is how much the number would be divided by the per person per month: 3,799 / 30= 126 Gallons  Calculators I used:  "Water Usage Calculator"  https://waterusage.hunterwater.com.au/results  Per person per day: 253 Gallons  Water used per year: 495,000 Gallons  "Water Calculator" https://www.watercalculator.org/wfc2/complete/ Per person per day: 272 Gallons Water used per year: 595,680 With the information stated above it shows the difference between 2 water calculators used by me and the information that was stated. On the first calculator it shows the amount of gallons used per person per day which was  253 gallons and when added to a year it adds up to 495,000 and reason why is...

Cryosphere

Image
Photo #1 Photo #2 Photo #3 Problem: The three pictures taken above were all taken at the same place located in Alaska in the Kenai Peninsula. And the first two pictures above were taken 95 years apart in the same place, and even though the third one seems different it's in the same place just from a closer point of view in a much closer perspective. Taking a look at the pictures it's obvious to mention that the snow and glaciers taken in place have perished which is called "glacier receding", and what that means is that the glacier is slowly decreasing being flown into the ocean. Looking at the differences based off the reading of "Hydrosphere/Cryosphere"  it states that when things like that happen it can cause problems regarding the food chain. Reasons why is because based off the reading the causation of glaciers melting are rising air and ocean temperatures, and when that happens it causes the ice to flow into the ocean. Now when flowing into the ocean ...

Atmosphere

The scenario I chose was being in charge of reducing the gas greenhouse. Based on the research I made I think it's best to have several solutions. Some of the solutions that I think are best to use now are having solar lights, using renewable energy, and using energy saving light bulbs.  Reasons why I think it's best to start using these solutions, and more specifically using solar lights is because it's a way to benefit your greenhouse in a more natural way of getting energy from the sun rather than getting it artificially. Solar lights have been known to save money economically and  save energy by %90 of the energy per kilowatt. Based off the example written by attainable home gives an example about how using a lamp that uses 40-watts for 12 hours each night converts in to 40x12 which equals 480watts, and when you convert it into kWh it turns into 0.48 kWh which is an energy saver for some people. And so once you look at how much is spent and how much you save, it look...
